Trade-Van “Ocean Shipment MCC and Cargo Hatch List Value-Added Service” Seminar
In order to improve competitiveness of ports in Taiwan, attract international large ships to stop by, stable the number of container handling in Taiwan ports and hold the position of global shipping port, Multi-country Cargo Consolidation (MCC) plan was strongly supported by Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transportation and Communications. Custom Administration completed and revised related laws of cargo operation in order to make cargo clearance more convenient. Ministry of Transportation set up MCC data platform to decrease operation cost for industries in order to make related industries willing to move cargo consolidation from outside of the country back to Taiwan and attract other shipping business from other countries to complete cargo consolidation in Taiwan as well. It exerts the effect of ship brings cargo and cargo brings ship and increase the number of cargo consolidation which again shows the prosperity of ports in the past.
Note: Multi-country Cargo Consolidation，MCC means when cargo ships into customs, under the condition of not changing the pattern of original package (no unpacking and packing), industries may apply for CFS in the terminal and declare transfer exportation cargo clearance process.
